About Us
Bromley Companies is an entrepreneurial real estate investment, development, and management company that has established a national reputation over the last 35 years. In its early years, Bromley focused on acquiring and managing private student residence halls at large public universities in the Midwest, Southwest and Western states. By the late 1970’s, Bromley built up the 2nd largest portfolio of privately-held residence halls in the United States.
In 1979, Bromley purchased its first office building in New York City at 122 Fifth Avenue, a 235,000 sf property located in the historic Flatiron district. Subsequently, Bromley developed and acquired over 700,000 square feet of office, residential and retail space in New York City. Its portfolio of retail and office properties are now located in some of the most desirable locations in New York and have attracted first-class tenants including Barnes & Noble, The New York Times, The GAP, Chanel, and Charles Schwab among others.
In the early 1990s, Bromley expanded its investment interest to Florida with the founding of Bromley Pallet, a pallet recycling company which became the 2nd largest in the United States. Bromley acquired a substantial amount of industrial and warehouse real estate as Bromley Pallet expanded to over 30 locations throughout the southeast and Midwest before selling to IFCO Systems.
In addition to its industrial holdings in Florida, Bromley acquired several office properties in Tampa. Bromley is now in the process of developing Tampa Bay 1, a 1.2 million square foot mixed use town center which will contain office, hotel, residential and retail components located in the prime Westshore area of Tampa.
Bromley is privately-held and headquartered in New York with offices in Florida and Illinois.
